LAUNCESTON, TAS - Van Diemen's Band (VDB), in partnership with Theatre North, is thrilled to announce the return of their hugely popular Lunchbox Concert Series to Launceston this November. This series offers music lovers the opportunity to enjoy world-class performances during their lunch break for just $10 when pre-booked.

Curated by VDB's Artistic Director, Julia Fredersdorff, the Lunchbox Concerts go "beyond the Band" to showcase a rich variety of artists, genres, and styles. The series invites audiences to enjoy a tempting menu of diverse short-form concerts featuring some of Tasmania's finest musical talent alongside interstate and international guests.

"We're absolutely delighted to bring the Lunchbox Concerts back to Launceston after such a successful first season," says Fredersdorff. "The response from the Launceston community was overwhelmingly positive, and it's clear there's a real appetite for accessible, high-quality musical experiences in the city. This year, we're building on that enthusiasm with an even more diverse and exciting programme."

Each Lunchbox Concert is a 45-minute performance with no interval, designed to fit comfortably within a lunch break. Tickets are priced at $10 for pre-bookings and $15 for door sales, with free entry for Companion Card holders.

One audience member enthused, "I can't believe I can fit a world-class experience like this into the middle of my day for $10. It's wild. A transporting, beautiful interlude which takes me out of the noise and into the music. Thank you."
